Privacy Policy
We keep this simple: collect as little as possible, never sell your data, and be clear about what happens with it.
Last updated: June 3, 2026
OutliveAPOE4 is an educational resource about the APOE4 gene. This policy explains what information we handle when you visit the site or subscribe to our newsletter. It is written to be readable; it is not legal advice, and we will have it reviewed by counsel before any data collection beyond basic analytics goes live.
What we collect
- Privacy-friendly analytics. We use aggregate, cookieless analytics to understand which pages are useful. This does not track you across other sites and does not build an advertising profile.
- Standard server logs. Our host (Cloudflare) processes basic request data (such as IP address and user agent) to serve and secure the site.
- Newsletter email (only if you subscribe). If you sign up, we store your email address with our email provider to send the newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not collect medical records, genetic test results, or lab values.
- We do not ask you to share your APOE genotype or health details, and we recommend you do not send them to us.
Cookies
The site aims to run without tracking cookies. If we add a feature that needs them, we will update this policy and ask for consent where required.
Third parties
We rely on a small number of service providers to operate: our hosting and analytics provider, and (if you subscribe) our email provider. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and data agreements.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the newsletter anytime via the email link.
- Request access to or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by contacting us.
- Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or US state privacy laws; we honor applicable requests.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed to children.
Changes
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date above.
